Site specific sculpture for Popularte Festival - Corscia, 2021 /
1,65 x 181 cm - mixed media

Corscia is a small village in the Corsican mountains that, like so many others, has fallen victim to relentless emigration. Young people move to the cities in search of new opportunities, only to find themselves accepting grueling, underpaid, and unskilled jobs.
This type of system tolerates no delays or setbacks. The rider got a flat tire on a remote mountain road, yet his mission remains unchanged: deliver the food to the customer, whatever it takes.
Though exhausted, the rider cannot eat or quench his thirst with the food inside his backpack—it belongs to the customer who, translated into the lexicon of capitalism, is God.
The algorithm governing delivery schedules does not account for a rider dying of exhaustion. Thus, even in the event of death, he must complete his delivery first.
