TEATRO UMANO, TEATRO DELLA NATURA

The exhibition addresses controversial aspects of everyday life, intervening within that space of critical tension grounded in the Situationist concept of détournement—understood as the diversion and re-signification of everyday languages. The works on display—sculptures, urban installations, and photographs—share a common methodology: they extract from everyday reality a fragment of already codified visual language—road signs, corporate logos, sacred imagery, ornamental greenery—and return it to the viewer in a form that reveals its latent ideological content.

In the section "Theatre of Nature," Francesco Garbelli and Biancoshock deconstruct public green spaces, exposing them not as untouched nature but as artificial simulacra and as masks concealing the power structures of contemporary multinational corporations.
Running in parallel, the "Human Theatre" by the collective Dott. PorkA’s employs street-photo performance, combining the performative act with photographic documentation to explore a cultural icon—the human figure of Christ—outside its traditional contexts and systems of representation.

As Francesco Ciaponi writes in the critical essay accompanying the exhibition:
"At SpazioC21, the gaze can finally come to rest, free to read the signs and to appropriate the mechanism of détournement—everything that the city's delirious haste makes impossible. Space belongs to those willing to transform it, even temporarily, even illegally, even knowing that someone will restore it to order. Meaning belongs to those who have the courage to make it unstable. Garbelli and Biancoshock's obese flowers grow within that crack. PorkA's Christ walks through it."
